The Cincinnati Bengals and the Baltimore Ravens meet in an AFC North division matchup in NFL action from M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Cincinnati Bengals will look to build on their first win of the season coming in the form of a 33-25 win over Jacksonville last time out. Joe Burrow has thrown for 1,121 yards, 6 touchdowns and 2 interceptions on 65.5% passing while Joe Mixon leads the Bengals in rushing with 315 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns. Tyler Boyd leads Cincinnati with 28 catches on 34 targets for 320 yards while Tee Higgins has 152 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. A,J Green and Drew Sample each have 100+ receiving yards for the Bengals as well this season. Defensively, Jessie Bates III leads the Bengals with 32 total tackles including a team-high 16 solo tackles while Carl Lawson has a team-high 3.5 sacks.
The Baltimore Ravens will be out to build on their 3-1 mark to the year after picking up a 31-17 win over the Washington Football team last time out. Lamar Jackson has thrown for 769 yards, 7 touchdown and one interception on 68.4% passing while also rushing for 235 yards and a score to lead the Ravens on the ground. Gus Edwards and Mark Ingram II each have 100+rushing yards with Ingram II logging a pair of rushing scores and J.K. Dobbins has a pair of rushing TDs as well. Marquise Brown leads Baltimore with 16 catches for 242 yards while Mark Andrews has 12 grabs for 166 yards and 4 touchdowns. Willie Snead IV and Miles Boykin each have 100+ receiving yards for Baltimore as well. Defensively, Patrick Queen leads Baltimore with 33 total tackles including 24 solo tackles and 4 tackles for a loss. Matthew Judon and Tyus Bowser each have a pair of sacks as well.
Cincinnati is 10-4 ATS in their last 14 road games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall while the over is 6-1 in their last 7 games against the AFC. Baltimore is 11-4 ATS in their last 15 games overall and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games within the division while the under is 6-1 in their last 7 games as a home favorite. Cincinnati is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings between these two teams and 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings between these two teams in Baltimore.
The points with the Bengals are tempting as Cincinnati’s held their own in pretty much every game they’ve been involved in this season. However, I think Baltimore and that ferocious defense is going to be out to give Joe Burrow all he can handle and then some in Cincinnati’s toughest test to date. The Ravens haven’t had a ton of luck in years past against Cincinnati, but I think Lamar Jackson and co. come out to play here and deliver a reality check to the Bengals. I’ll lay the points with Baltimore in this one.
