The Denver Broncos and the Las Vegas Raiders meet in an AFC West division matchup in week 10 NFL action from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Sunday afternoon in a battle of up and comers.
The Denver Broncos will look to rebound after falling to 3-5 on the year after a 34-27 loss to Atlanta last time out. Drew Lock has thrown for 1,240 yards, 6 touchdowns and 6 interceptions on 56.5% passing while Melvin Gordon III leads Denver in rushing with 393 rushing yards and 4 TDs and Phillip Lindsay has 310 rushing yards as well this season. Jerry Jeudy leads Denver with 484 receiving yards coming on 30 catches with a pair of touchdowns while Tim Patrick and Noah Fant each have 300+ receiving yards with Patrick adding 383 yards and 3 touchdowns. KJ Hamler, DaeSean Hamilton and Albert Okwuegbunam each have 100+ receiving yards this season but Okwuegbunam will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL sustained in the last game. Defensively, Alexander Johnson leads Denver with 64 total tackles including 38 solo tackles while Josey Jewell has 58 total tackles with 40 solo tackles. Justin Simmons has a team-high 42 solo tackles and 3 interceptions while Bradley Chubb has a team-high 5.5 sacks and Malik Reed has 5 sacks this season.
The Las Vegas Raiders will try to build on back-to-back wins after a 31-26 win over the Chargers last time out. Derek Carr has thrown for 2,002 yards, 16 touchdowns and 2 interceptions on 69.8% passing while Josh Jacobs leads the Raiders with 588 rushing yards and 6 touchdowns. Devontae Booker has 223 rushing yards as well for Vegas this year while Darren Waller leads the Raiders in receiving with 50 grabs for 394 yards with 4 touchdowns. Hunter Renfrow has 369 yards and Nelson Agholor has 347 receiving yards and 5 touchdowns while Henry Ruggs III also has 220 receiving yards for the Raiders as well this year. Defensively, Cory Littleton leads the Raiders with 48 total tackles including 31 solo tackles while Johnathan Abram has 42 total tackles and Lamarcus Joyner has 41 total tackles with a team-high 32 solo tackles. Maxx Crosby has a team-high 5 sacks as well this season for the Raiders.
Denver is 5-13 ATS in their last 18 division games and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 road games while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 games as an underdog. Las Vegas is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 division games and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall while the under is 5-1 in their last 6 games against a team with a losing record. Denver is 0-5 ATS in the last 5 meetings between these two teams.
There’s potential for this to be a look-ahead spot for the Raiders with a date with the division-leading Chiefs on deck next week, but the Broncos are simply banged up like nobody’s business after Okwuegbunam tore his ACL against Atlanta. The Raiders on the other hand, keep finding ways to win games and need to keep winning games to keep pace in the wild card race. I’ll lay the points with the Raiders in this spot.
