The Philadelphia Eagles host the Seattle Seahawks when they meet on Monday Night Football in Week 12 NFL action from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
Seattle comes in here at 7-3 so far on the year. The Seahawks lost consecutive games to the Bills and Rams but managed a win over the Cardinals in their last outing. As for the Eagles, they’re 3-6-1 this season. Philadelphia has lost the last two games versus the Giants and the Browns. Check back all season long for free NFL picks at Sports Chat Place.
Seattle started the season out at 5-0, but they’re just 2-3 since then. In that stretch, the Seahawks lost in OT 37-34 to the Cardinals, beat the 49ers 37-27, lost to the Bills 44-34 and the Rams 23-16, then took out the Cardinals last Thursday. That one was a 28-21 revenge win for Seattle.
In the win over Arizona, Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson posted 197 yards with two touchdowns on 23-of-28 passing, and Carlos Hyde had 79 yards with a TD on 14 carries. Tyler Lockett led the receivers there with nine grabs for 67 yards and a touchdown of his own.
Over on the Philadelphia side, it’s been a sloppy year in a sloppy NFC East. The Eagles have been all over the place this season, including 2-2 in their last four games. Philly beat the Giants 22-21 and the Cowboys 23-9 before falling to the Giants 27-17 and the Browns 22-17 in their last two games.
In the loss to Cleveland, Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz put up 235 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Miles Sanders rushed for 66 yards on 16 carries and Dallas Goedert had 77 yards with a TD on five catches.
The Seahawks are 5-1 ATS in their last six games in Week 12 and 11-4-1 ATS in their last 16 Monday games. Seattle is 11-5-1 ATS in their last 17 games on grass and 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 in November.
Meanwhile, the Eagles are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games on grass and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 home games. Philadelphia is 2-6 ATS versus a team with a winning record and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 overall.
PICK: I’m going with the Seahawks, but probably staying away. It’s difficult to know what you’re getting from game to game with Philadelphia, and they’ve been hanging around with a few good teams. The Eagles were within nine points of the Steelers and two points of the Ravens, but Philly has also lost their last two games against mediocre/bad competition by a combined 15 points. Still, considering Seattle’s offensive capabilities I don’t think they’ll have too much trouble setting the pace here.
