The San Francisco 49ers and Cincinnati Bengals meet Wednesday night in a Madden20 NFL simulation game.

The San Francisco 49ers have 10 different players who are ranked 85 overall or better. Tight end George Kittle leads the charge with a 97 overall rating and cornerback Richard Sherman has a 94 overall rating. Defensive end Nick Bosa, wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders and left tackle Joe Staley all have 89 ratings. The San Francisco 49ers are obviously one of the more balanced and highest rated teams in the game and have very little weakness. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has an 84 rating and an above-average acceleration to avoid pressure. On either side of the ball, you have to like the 49ers to show up and put together a consistent performance no matter who they play.

The Cincinnati Bengals have three players ranked 87 overall or higher in wide receiver AJ Green, defensive tackle Geno Atkins and running back Joe Mixon. Thitem in wide receiver Tyler Boyd who is an 83 overall and has a 92 acceleration rating, and the Bengals are a losing team in real life that actually is intriguing in the video game world. The obvious issue with the Bengals is quarterback Andy Dalton, who is 72 overall, and has a 73 awareness rating and a 75 speed rating. The Cincinnati Bengals have talent and are a surprisingly poor team you can win with in this game. However, in a computer simulation, you have to worry about Dalton and the questionable decisions he’s going to make with a low awareness rating.

I’m not a big fan of laying big chalk in these simulations, but the San Francisco 49ers are possibly the deepest team in this game with 10 players ranked at least 85 overall. The Cincinnati Bengals are one of the bottom feeders in this game and don’t have the horsepower to get a backdoor cover once a game starts to get away from them. It’s hard to find the confidence to back the Cincinnati Bengals when playing some of the top tier teams in this game.
