Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Miami Dolphins – 6/16/20 Madden20 NFL Sim Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Miami Dolphins and Jacksonville Jaguars meet Tuesday afternoon in a Madden20 NFL simulation game.

The Miami Dolphins don’t have a ton to offer in this game, but three of their top-four rated players are on the defensive side in cornerbacks Xavien Howard and Aqib Talib, as well as safety Reshad Jones. Wide receiver DeVante Parker is the Dolphins highest rated player at 84 overall with a 91 speed and acceleration ratings. Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick checks out at 74 overall with an 80 awareness rating and 80 acceleration rating. The x-factor for the Dolphins is wide receiver Jakeem Grant, who has a 96 sped rating and 94 acceleration rating, one of the few difference makers on this team capable of turning out a big play. Overall, the Miami Dolphins aren’t scaring anybody and have just four players ranked 81 overall or higher. At least in Madden20, the Dolphins are a tough team to sell and can often find themselves over their head.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have only one player ranked in the 90s, and that’s defensive end Calais Campbell, who comes in at a 95 overall. The Jaguars next two highest rated players is their center Brandon Linder at 87 and their kicker Josh Lambo at 85 overall. It’s a sign of a bad football team when the kicker is the third highest rated player. Running back Leonard Fournette is still a tough guy who is hard to bring down even in the video game and his 92 speed makes for a solid option, but other than that there’s just not a lot to get excited about. Quarterback Nick Foles is a 71 overall, meaning he dropped six rating points since the games launch. The Jacksonville Jaguars are a team that even the diehard fans won’t play with in Madden20.

I’ve said it many times before, but the Miami Dolphins are better than their rankings suggest in these simulations and they have an aggressive style that allows them to push the ball down field and put a scare into these teams despite constantly being underdogs. The Jacksonville Jaguars simply shouldn’t be favorites no matter who they’re playing, as we’re talking about a team that has its kicker being the third highest rated player on the roster. I’m not laying chalk with the Jags. Sorry.
