The Miami Dolphins and Philadelphia Eagles meet Monday night in a Madden20 simulation game.

The Miami Dolphins don’t have a ton to offer in this game, but three of their top-four rated players are on the defensive side in cornerbacks Xavien Howard and Aqib Talib, as well as safety Reshad Jones. Wide receiver DeVante Parker is the Dolphins highest rated player at 84 overall with a 91 speed and acceleration ratings. Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick checks out at 74 overall with an 80 awareness rating and 80 acceleration rating. The x-factor for the Dolphins is wide receiver Jakeem Grant, who has a 96 sped rating and 94 acceleration rating, one of the few difference makers on this team capable of turning out a big play. Overall, the Miami Dolphins aren’t scaring anybody and have just four players ranked 81 overall or higher. At least in Madden20, the Dolphins are a tough team to sell and can often find themselves over their head.

The Philadelphia Eagles have a lot to offer in the Madden world with four players ranked 90 or better overall. Those players include tight end Zach Ertz, defensive tackle Fletcher Cox and offensive linemen Brandon Brooks and Jason Kelce. Thitem in Lane Johnson and Jason Peters, and the Eagles have possibly the best offensive line in the game, making things easy for running backs Josh Howard and Miles Sanders. Quarterback Carson Wentz also has a lot of time to thitem the ball, and he’s decently rated at 83 overall, 83 awareness, 81 speed and 87 acceleration. We also can’t forget about wide receiver Desean Jackson, who has a 94 speed rating and 93 acceleration rating, making him one of the biggest x-factors in the game due to his game changing wheels. The Philadelphia Eagles are reliable in the trenches and that makes them a valuable team to back in computer simulations where it’s usually the little things that make a difference.

There’s an obvious talent gap between these teams, as the Philadelphia Eagles are one of the deeper teams in this game and the Miami Dolphins are one of those teams that’s extremely limited on difference makers. The Eagles should win comfortably, but we’ve also seen the Dolphins play aggressive in these simulations and the chances they take allows them to hang around and surprise people. Laying big chalk in these computer led games is you putting a lot of faith into a random outcome.

I feel safer with 10 free points in my pocket.
