The Pittsburgh Steelers face off with the Cleveland Browns Sunday in NFL AFC Wildcard Playoff action from Heinz Field in Pittsburgh.

Cleveland enters this AFC Wild Card Game  after an 11-5 season. The Browns went 2-1 in their final three games, taking out the Steelers by two points in Week 17. As for Pittsburgh, they went 12-4 this season. The Steelers are just 1-4 in their last five games following the loss to the Browns on Sunday. Cleveland has made their presence known in the difficult AFC North this season. The Browns finished 6-2 across the second half of the season, with a five-point loss to the Ravens and a seven-point loss to the lowly Jets being the only blemishes. In Week 17, Cleveland posted a statement win 24-22 over the Steelers.

In the win over Pittsburgh on Sunday, Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield put up 196 yards with a TD, and Rashard Higgins caught two balls for 55 yards. Nick Chubb carried the running game on 14 carries for 108 yards and a score.

Over on the Pittsburgh side, they started out the year at 11-0, but the wheels have come off since then. The Steelers hit a three-game losing streak to Washington 23-17, the Bills 26-15 and the Bengals 27-17. Pittsburgh got a win 28-24 over the Colts on December 27, but suffered a tough loss to Cleveland on Sunday.

In the Week 17 defeat, Pittsburgh quarterback Mason Rudolph posted 315 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. Chase Claypool had five catches for 101 yards and a TD, while James Connor had nine catches for 37 yards.

The Browns are 1-8 ATS in their last nine games versus the AFC and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games overall. Cleveland is 5-3-1 ATS in the last nine games in January and 9-25-1 ATS in their last 35 versus the AFC North.

Meanwhile, the Steelers are 8-3 ATS in the last 11 versus the AFC and 14-5-3 ATS in their last 22 games in January. Pittsburgh is 2-4 ATS in their last six games overall and the under is 19-10-2 in their last 31 versus the AFC.

PICK: I’m going to take Pittsburgh here. The Steelers rested quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and three other big-name contributors on Sunday, so you can make of the loss what you will. Truth is, this is going to be a classic AFC North battle, and you can throw the statistics out accordingly. I think Pittsburgh seems like a better option for a cover due to their home-field advantage and momentum from returning starters. Still, neither of these teams has been reliable lately; it’s probably best to stay away from this game and just enjoy the show.
