The Green Bay Packers face off with the Los Angeles Rams Saturday in the NFL NFC Divisional Playoffs at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, WI.
The Los Angeles Rams are coming off a win over the Seahawks and look to make the NFC Championship for the second time in the last three years. The Los Angeles Rams have split their last six road games. Jared Goff is completing 67 percent of his passes for 3,952 yards, 20 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. Goff has one or less touchdown passes in six of his last eight games. Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods have combined for 1,910 receiving yards and nine touchdowns while Josh Reynolds has 52 receptions. The Los Angeles Rams ground game is averaging 126.1 yards per contest, and Cam Akers leads the way with 625 yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, Los Angeles is allowing 18.5 points and 281.9 yards per game. John Johnson III leads the Los Angeles Rams with 105 tackles, Aaron Donald has 13.5 sacks and Darious Williams has four interceptions.
The Green Bay Packers haven’t lost a game since November 22 and look to make back-to-back NFC Championship appearances. The Green Bay Packers have won five straight home games. Aaron Rodgers is completing 70.7 percent of his passes for 4,299 yards, 48 touchdowns and five interceptions. Rodgers has three or more touchdown passes in six of his last seven games. Davante Adams and Marquez Valdes-Scantling have combined for 2,064 receiving yards and 24 touchdowns while Robert Tonyan has 52 receptions. The Green Bay Packers ground game is averaging 132.4 yards per contest, and Aaron Jones leads the way with 1,104 yards and nine touchdowns. Defensively, Green Bay is allowing 23.1 points and 334 yards per game. Adrian Amos leads the Green Bay Packers with 83 tackles, Za’Darius Smith has 12.5 sacks and Darnell Savage has four interceptions.
The Rams are 13-6 ATS in their last 19 road games and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games in January. The Packers are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 playoff games and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 home games. The under is 4-1 in Rams last 5 games overall. The over is 5-0 in Packers last 5 playoff games. The Rams are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 meetings. The favorite is 9-1 ATS in their last 10 meetings.
The Los Angeles Rams shouldn’t be taken lightly after what they just did to the Seahawks last week, and their defensive effort gives them a fighting chance each week. However, the Rams are still a banged up football team and have a limited Goff at the quarterback position. I’m also not sure how much I trust visitors going into Lambeau this time of year where it’s freezing and horrible weather conditions. The Green Bay Packers are also one of the hotter teams in the league with a red hot offense, and seven of their last 10 wins have been decided by double digits. If the Packers keep scoring at this clip, I don’t see the hobbled Rams finding the firepower to respond. I’ll lay the touchdown here.
