The Seattle Seahawks face the Los Angeles Chargers Saturday in Week 3 NFL Preseason action from Lumen Field in Seattle. This will be the third and final preseason game for both teams. Los Angeles beat the Rams in their first exhibition game of the year. On Sunday against the 49ers, the Chargers lost by five points. As for the Seahawks, they’re 0-2 this preseason after losses to the Raiders and Broncos. Check back all season long for free NFL picks at Sports Chat Place.
The Chargers outscored the Rams 7-0 in the second half of their first game, ultimately winning 13-6. Quarterback Chase Daniel put up 104 yards on 15-of-24 passing, and Larry Rountree led the rush on 63 yards. Josh Palmer caught six balls for 36 yards to top the receivers as well.
In the Sunday game versus the 49ers, the Chargers had a 10-8 lead at the break but couldn’t score from there in a 15-10 defeat. Easton Stick threw for 85 yards with a TD on 10-of-14 passing.
Over on the Seahawks’ side, they couldn’t get much going against the Raiders in game one with a 20-7 loss. QB Sean Mannion went 7-of-11 for 34 yards, and Alex McGough posted 54 yards and a score off 6-of-10 passing. DeeJay Dallas had two grabs for 45 yards and a score.
In game two, the Seahawks took a step backward with a 30-3 blowout loss at the hands of the Broncos. Mannion had a 13-of-23 passing line for 118 yards, and Josh Johnson rushed nine times for 30 yards. Cade Johnson put up three grabs for 34 yards as well.

The Chargers are 4-0 ATS in their last four overall and 15-7-2 ATS in their last 24 road games. LA is 2-8 ATS in their last 10 Saturday games and the over is 6-1 in their last seven road games.
Meanwhile, the Seahawks are 2-5 ATS in their last seven overall and 2-5 ATS in their last seven as a favorite. The over is 5-1 in Seattle’s last six Saturday games and the under is 5-1 in their last six on turf.
PICK: I’m going to stick with the Chargers, but there’s not a ton to like here. Seattle was steamrolled in their last game by a Broncos team that wasn’t particularly overpowering on 264 total yards. Seattle lost the time of possession battle 32:35 to 27:25 and also coughed up a trio of turnovers. The Seahawks have scored just 10 points through two games so far.
As for the Chargers, they had a pretty ugly offensive game on Sunday, posting 162 total yards and averaging just 2.6 yards per play. Los Angeles won the time of possession battle, but that didn’t help much with the 2-for-11 ratio on third downs. I’m still going with LA; probably staying away, though.
