The Dallas Cowboys take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in NFL week 3 preseason action from AT&T Stadium on Sunday.

The Jacksonville Jaguars will be looking to bounce back from a 23-21 loss at the hands of New Orleans last time out. All three Jaguar QBs threw for at least 100 yards, with Gardner Minshew II leading the Jags with 149 yards and an INT on 13 of 21 passing. C.J. Beathard threw for 121 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 9 of 14 passing while Trevor Lawrence threw for 113 yards on 14 of 23 passing. James Robinson led the Jags with 13 rushing yards while Jeff Cotton had a team-high 4 catches for 50 yards and a touchdown. Devine Ozigbo had 42 receiving yards while Marvin Jones Jr. and Tavon Austin each had 4 catches and Laviska Shenault Jr. had a team-high 5 grabs. Collin Johnson also recorded a TD catch for Jacksonville in the losing effort. Defensively, Shaq Quarterman and Jordan Smith each had a team-high 4 total tackles while Dawuane Smoot and Jihad Ward each had a sack for the Jags.

The Dallas Cowboys will look to bounce back from a 20-14 loss at the hands of the Houston Texans in their last game. Ben DiNucci threw for 120 yards and 3 interceptions on 14 of 19 passing while Cooper Rush had a pair of TDs and 97 yards on 10 of 12 through the air. Rico Dowdle led Dallas’ running backs with 31 rushing yards while Tony Pollard had 20 rushing yards. Noah Brown led the Cowboys’ receivers with 35 yards while Osirus Mitchell had 31 receiving yards. JaQuan Hardy led the Cowboys with 5 catches for 20 yards while the aforementioned Pollard and Cedrick Wilson each had a receiving TD for Dallas in the loss. Defensively, Leighton Vander Esch, Jabril Cox, Kelvin Joseph and Luke Gifford all had 4 total tackles while Darian Thompson had a sack.

Jacksonville is 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games as a favorite and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games on turf while the under is 5-1 in their last 6 games as a favorite. Dallas is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as an underdog and 5-11 ATS in their last 16 games overall while the over is 5-2 in their last 7 games as a home underdog.

I get the case that could be made for either team here, but I’m going to side with the under in this one. Dallas’ backups haven’t really been able to do much of anything so far in the preseason and while Jacksonville is the better team in this spot, I think that the Jaguars won’t want to chance anything heading into week 1 from an injury standpoint. Give me the under.
