Cincinnati had to fight off a pesky Minnesota team in their opener, carrying a 14-7 lead into halftime. After the break, Cincinnati kept the pace for a while but was outscored 10-3 in the fourth quarter. The Bengals notched a field goal in overtime to take the win 27-24.

During the week one win, Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow put up 261 yards with two touchdowns on 20-of-27 passing. Joe Mixon led the rush with 29 carries for 127 yards and a score, while Ja’Marr Chase had 101 yards and a TD from five catches.

Over on the Bears’ side, their week one game versus the Rams didn’t go very well. Chicago managed a second-quarter touchdown but still carried a 13-7 deficit into halftime. The Bears were outscored from there 21-7 in a 34-14 defeat.

In the loss, Bears quarterback Andy Dalton put up 206 yards and an interception on a 27-of-38 line. David Montgomery rushed for 108 yards and a score on 16 carries, and Marquise Goodwin led the Bears receivers with 45 yards from four grabs.

The Bengals are 6-2 ATS versus a team with a losing record and 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 in Week 2. Cincinnati is 36-17-2 ATS in their last 55 in September as well.

Meanwhile, the Bears are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 overall and 2-5 ATS in their last seven on grass. Chicago is also 1-4 ATS in their last five after an ATS loss.

PICK: I’m going to take Cincinnati. The Bears defense wasn’t working too well in their week one game; they gave up 386 total yards to the Rams with 7.7 yards per play on average. Chicago also coughed up two turnovers and was 0-for-4 on fourth down tries.

As for the Bengals, they weren’t so great on third downs (3-of-14) in their opener, and also allowed five sacks. The good news is that Cincinnati’s rush defense was solid (67 yards) and they took care of the ball with zero turnovers. This should be another close game but I think the Bengals can pull off a cover.
