The Philadelphia Eagles meet the San Francisco 49ers Sunday in Week 2 NFL action from Lincoln Financial Field. San Francisco is coming off a week one victory. The Niners posted an eight-point result over the Lions. As for the Eagles, they played the Falcons in their first game. Philly cruised to a 26-point victory in that game. San Francisco had a huge halftime lead in week one versus the Lions, but still had to finish strong to get the win. The 49ers were up 31-10 at the break but got a bit of a scare when Detroit posted 16 points in the fourth quarter during a 41-33 49ers win.

During the victory in week one, 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo put up 314 yards with one touchdown on 17-of-25 passing. Eli Mitchell added 104 rush yards and a score from 19 carries, and Deebo Samuel had 189 receiving yards and a score off nine grabs.

Over on the Eagles’ side, they were up on the Falcons 15-6 at halftime in week one. Philadelphia controlled the game from there however, posting a 17-0 run from there in a 32-6 victory to kick off the season.

In the win, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts put up 264 yards with three scores in 27-of-35 passing. Miles Sanders was able to rush for 74 yards on 15 carries, while DeVonta Smith led the receiving corps with 71 yards and a TD from six receptions.

The 49ers are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 overall and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 on grass. San Francisco is also 9-25-1 ATS in their last 35 as a favorite.

Meanwhile, the Eagles are 4-0 ATS in their last four at home and 1-4 ATS in their last five after a  straight-up win. Philly is 2-9 ATS in their last 11 in September as well.

PICK: I like the Eagles in this one. Philadelphia had a nicely-balanced attack in their week one win, posting 261 passing yards and 173 on the ground for a 6.5 yards-per-play average. The Eagles are definitely going to need to clean up the penalties, though (14 for 89 yards).

As for the 49ers, they were rolling pretty well on offense themselves with an 8.0-yard average. San Francisco lost a couple of fumbles but only punted twice and allowed one sack. This should be a fun and competitive game regardless, but I like Philly on the cover.
