The Miami Dolphins meet the Buffalo Bills Sunday in week 2 NFL action at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens. The Buffalo Bills need a win after a disappointing opening loss to the Steelers. The Miami Dolphins look for another win after beating the Patriots opening week.

The Buffalo Bills hope to avoid their first 0-2 start since the 2018 NFL season. Josh Allen is completing 58.8 percent of his passes for 270 yards, one touchdown and zero interceptions. Stefon Diggs and Cole Beasley have combined for 129 receiving yards on 17 catches while Emmanuel Sanders has four receptions. The Buffalo Bills ground game is averaging 117 yards per contest, and Devin Singletary leads the way with 72 yards on 11 carries. Defensively, Buffalo is allowing 23 points and 252 yards per game. Taron Johnson leads the Buffalo Bills with seven tackles, Jordan Poyer has one sack and Micah Hyde has one pass deflection.

The Miami Dolphins look for their first 2-0 start since the 2018 NFL season. Tua Tagovailoa is completing 59.3 percent of his passes for 202 yards, one touchdown and one interception. DeVante Parker and Jayle Waddle have combined for 142 receiving yards and one touchdown while Myles Gaskin has five receptions. The Miami Dolphins ground game is averaging 74 yards per contest, and Gaskin leads the way with 49 yards on nine carries. Defensively, Miami is allowing 16 points and 393 yards per game. Jerome Baker leads the Miami Dolphins with 12 tackles, Zach Sieler has one tackle for loss and Brennan Scarlett has one pass deflection.

The Bills are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games and 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games overall. The Dolphins are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 home games and 21-8 ATS in their last 29 games overall. The over is 4-1 in Bills last 5 road games. The under is 5-2 in Dolphins last 7 home games. The over is 5-0 in the last 5 meetings.

The Bills entered the season with a lot of hype around them, and while it’s just one game, they didn’t look all that great in their season opener. Allen struggled with his accuracy and the defense had issues against the run in the second half. The Dolphins didn’t play the prettiest game either, but their defense continues to force turnovers and Brian Flores coached teams simply find a way. The Bills have won five straight against the Dolphins, but this feels like a statement game for both sides early. I lean toward the Dolphins and the points in what should be tight throughout.
