The Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers meet Sunday afternoon in week 6 NFL action from Soldier Field in Chicago. The Packers are coming off a matchup versus the Bengals. Green Bay managed an overtime win in that one to keep their streak alive. As for the Bears, they’ve won three of their last four and are coming off a nice win over the Raiders. Green Bay started out the year with a whimper, falling to the Saints 38-3 in a rout. Since then the Packers are 4-0, however. The wins have come courtesy of the Lions 35-17, the 49ers 30-28, the Steelers 27-17 and the Bengals 25-22.

In the overtime win over the Bengals last weekend, the Packers scored more than three points in just one quarter but were still able to pull out the win. QB Aaron Rodgers had 344 yards with two TDs and a pick, while Aaron Jones led the rush on 14 carries for 103 yards.

Over on the Bears’ side, they lost two of their first three games this year, falling to the Rams and Browns around a 20-17 win over Cincinnati. Since then it’s been consecutive wins for Chicago; they’ve taken out the Lions 24-14 and the Raiders 20-9.

In the win over the Raiders, Chicago put up 14 points in the second quarter and never lost control from there. QB Justin Fields had 111 yards and a score, and Khalil Herbert had 75 rush yards off 18 carries. Darnell Mooney caught three passes for 35 yards to lead the team in receiving.

The Packers are 6-1 ATS in their last seven in October and 4-0 ATS in their last four overall. Green Bay is also 6-2 ATS in their last eight as a favorite.

Meanwhile, the Bears are 4-1 ATS in their last five in October and 5-11 ATS versus a team with a winning record. Chicago is 3-7 ATS in their last 10 versus the NFC North as well.

PICK: I’m going to take a stab on the Bears, but probably staying away. Chicago has been playing pretty well over their last couple of games, thanks in no small part to their defense. The Bears held the Raiders to just 259 total yards last week, with 16 first downs and three sacks. The offense played a clock-control game from there and it worked out.

As for the Packers, they posted 466 total yards against the Bengals with 21 first downs but still had to push to get the tight OT victory. Chicago is going to have to put up some significant points to keep up on the scoreboard, but I think they can get in there for a cover.
