The Arizona Cardinals and Houston Texans meet Sunday afternoon in week 7 NFL action at State Farm Stadium in Glendale. The Houston Texans need a win to snap a five-game losing streak. The Arizona Cardinals look for another win to improve to 7-0 on the season.

The Houston Texans have lost five straight road games. Davis Mills is completing 63.3 percent of his passes for 912 yards, five touchdowns and seven interceptions. Brandin Cooks and Chris Conley have combined for 615 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while David Johnson has 14 receptions. The Houston Texans ground game is averaging 87.2 yards per contest, and Mark Ingram II leads the way with 285 yards and one touchdown. Defensively, Houston is allowing 28.7 points and 391.2 yards per game. Christian Kirksey leads the Houston Texans with 43 tackles, Jonathan Greenard has four sacks and Justin Reid has two interceptions.

The Arizona Cardinals have won four of their last six home games. Kyler Murray is completing 73.8 percent of his passes for 1,741 yards, 14 touchdowns and four interceptions. DeAndre Hopkins and Christian Kirk have combined for 725 receiving yards and nine touchdowns, while AJ Green has 21 receptions. The Arizona Cardinals ground game is averaging 130.7 yards per contest, and Chase Edmonds leads the way with 316 yards on 53 carries. Defensively, Arizona is allowing 18.2 points and 342.8 yards per game. Jordan Hicks leads the Arizona Cardinals with 42 tackles, Chandler Jones has five sacks and Byron Murphy Jr. has three interceptions.

The Texans are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games in October and 3-8 ATS vs. a team with a winning record. The Cardinals are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 home games and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall. The under is 4-1 in Texans last 5 road games. The over is 6-2 in Cardinals last 8 home games.

It’s not breaking news the Houston Texans aren’t a good football team, as you can argue their offense is the worst in the league and their defense is 31st against the run. The Arizona Cardinals could probably pick the number they want to win by and go out there and do it. However, 17 points isn’t a number you often see in the NFL, and it’s tough to lay that sort of chalk regardless of matchup. Also, the Cardinals have the Packers next Thursday. Not only does that create a look ahead spot, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the Cardinals just focused on a win and getting out healthy. Running up the score isn’t needed here. Give me the points if forced to pick.
