The Pittsburgh Steelers and Detroit Lions clash Sunday in NFL action from Heinz Field in Pittsburgh. Detroit is coming off a bye this past weekend. The Lions last appeared in a blowout loss to the Eagles. As for the Steelers, they played the Bears in a Monday game. In that matchup, Pittsburgh was able to eke out a tense win. Detroit hasn’t been able to find any success this year so far, losing their first eight straight games. The Lions have fallen to the 49ers, the Packers, the Ravens, the Bears, the Vikings, the Bengals, the Rams and the Eagles in succession.
In the 44-6 loss to the Eagles on Halloween, the Lions coughed up 21 points in the third quarter and couldn’t find the scoreboard themselves until the fourth. QB Jared Goff put up 222 yards on 25-of-34 passing, and D’Andre Swift led a tepid rush on 27 yards from 12 carries.
Over on the Steelers’ side, they beat the Bills in their first game this year, but then fell to the Raiders, Bengals and Packers over the next three. Pittsburgh then got it rolling with wins over the Broncos, Seahawks (OT) and Browns.
In the Monday night game versus Chicago, the Steelers coughed up 21 points in the fourth quarter but were still able to hang on in a 29-27 victory. QB Ben Roethlisberger put up 205 yards with two scores on 21-of-30 passing, and Pat Freiermuth put up 43 yards and two scores from five catches.

The Lions are 5-0 ATS in their last five after an ATS loss and 5-2 ATS in their last seven in Week 10. Detroit is 3-12-1 ATS in their last 16 in November and 1-4 ATS in their last five on grass.
Meanwhile, the Steelers are 2-5 ATS in the last seven games on grass and the under is 8-2-1 in their last 11 as a favorite. The under is 6-2-1 in Pittsburgh’s last nine in Week 10 as well.
PICK: I’m probably sticking with the Steelers. That said, the Monday game was a mess in the fourth quarter. Pittsburgh missed a ton of big opportunities and were aided by some crucial penalties in a crazy game. Still, it’ll go down as a W.
As for Detroit, they couldn’t do anything against Philly in their last outing, giving up 350 total yards with 27 first downs and 5.6 yards per play. The Lions responded with just 228 yards of offense themselves, 3.9 yards per play and eight penalties. Detroit will likely look better after the extra week of prep, but I don’t think they’ll get close here.
