The Cleveland Browns and Detroit Lions square off in week 11 NFL action from first Energy Stadium in Cleveland on Sunday afternoon.
The Detroit Lions will look to keep their hunt for their first win going here after settling for a 16-16 tie with Pittsburgh in their last game. Jared Goff has thrown for 2,109 yards, 8 touchdowns and 6 interceptions on 66.1% passing while D’Andre Swift and Jamaal Williams have combined to rush for 731 yards and 5 touchdowns this season. T.J. Hockenson and Swift each have 400+ receiving yards while Kalif Raymond and Amon-Ra St. Brown each have 300+ receiving yards as well this season. On defense, Alex Anzalone has a team-high 57 total tackles while Charles Harris has a team-high 4 sacks and Amani Oruqariye has 3 interceptions on the year.
The Cleveland Browns will be out to bounce back from a 45-7 rout at the hands of the Patriots last time out. Baker Mayfield has thrown for 1,990 yards, 9 touchdowns and 4 interceptions on 65.4% passing while Ncik Chubb leads the Browns with 721 rushing yards and 6 scores. David Njoku and Donovan Peoples-Jones each have 300+ receiving yards for the Browns this season while another pair of Cleveland receivers have 200+ receiving yards on the year. On defense, Anthony Walker leads the Browns with 65 total tackles while Myles Garrett has a team-high 13 sacks this season.
Detroit is 4-12-1 ATS in their last 17 games in November and 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games following an ATS win while the under is 4-0 in their last 4 games as a road underdog. Cleveland is 2-5 ATS in their last 7 home games and 19-44-1 ATS in their last 64 games following a loss while the under is 5-1 in their last 6 games against a team with a losing record.
I get why you’d want to lay big points with the Browns against the still-winless Lions who can’t catch a break. I mean they have a chance to win and have to settle for a tie. With that said, the Lions battled hard once again and I think the Browns could be looking past Detroit here which would not be wise considering the Lions have gone toe-to-toe with some pretty good teams this season. Give me the Lions and the points here.
