The Cleveland Browns and Las Vegas Raiders square off in Monday Night Football NFL action from FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland. Las Vegas is 6-7 so far this year and coming off a blowout loss to the Chiefs. As for the Browns, they’re 7-6 on the season. Cleveland beat the Ravens in their last outing. The Raiders got off to a good start this year with five wins in their first seven games. Since then it’s been a 1-5 run for Las Vegas. The losses in that stretch have come to the Giants, Chiefs, Bengals, Washington and the Chiefs.

In the Chiefs matchup last weekend, the Raiders had all sorts of trouble. Las Vegas fell behind 35-3 at halftime and limped to a 48-9 blowout loss. QB Derek Carr put up 263 yards and a score, while Hunter Renfrow caught 13 balls for 117 yards and a TD.

Over on the Browns’ side, they won three of their first four games but have been choppy in the W column ever since. Cleveland is 3-3 over their last six outings with losses to the Ravens, Steelers and Patriots mixed with wins over the Broncos, Lions and Ravens.

In the Sunday rematch game versus Baltimore Cleveland got off to a nice 24-6 lead at the break. The Browns didn’t score in the second half but still held on for the 24-22 win. QB Baker Mayfield finished on 190 yards and two TDs, while Nick Chubb had 59 rush yards.

The Raiders are 5-2 ATS in their last seven as a road underdog and 1-5 ATS in their last six overall. Las Vegas is 1-5 ATS in their last six versus the AFC.
Meanwhile, the Browns are 2-6 ATS in their last eight in December and 2-7 ATS in their last nine in Week 15. Cleveland is 1-4 ATS in the last five versus the AFC.

PICK: I’m probably sticking with the Browns. Cleveland faltered in the second half of the Baltimore game last weekend, but ultimately did just enough to win. The Browns had 290 total yards to Baltimore’s 389, but also held the Ravens to just 1-of-12 on third-down tries.

As for Las Vegas, nothing much went right last weekend versus KC and the team has been struggling for the last six weeks or so. The Raiders have been at 16 points or fewer in five of their last six games; I don’t think they’ll keep up here.
