The Cleveland Browns and Philadelphia Eagles square off Sunday afternoon in week 2 of NFL preseason action at FirstEnergy Stadium. The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off a preseason loss to the Jets. The Cleveland Browns are coming off a preseason win over the Jaguars.

The Philadelphia Eagles are 0-5-1 SU in their last 6 preseason games. The Eagles racked up 21 points and 311 yards while allowing 24 points and 302 yards. In the losing effort, Reid Sinnett threw for 81 yards and 1 touchdown, while Gardner Minshew completed 8 of 12 passes. Jason Huntley led the Eagles with 48 rushing yards on 16 carries, while Zach Pascal and Jason Huntley combined for 80 receiving yards on 6 receptions. Reed Blankenship led the Eagles with 8 tackles, Kobe Smith had 1 tackle for loss and Kyzir White had 1 interception.

The Cleveland Browns have won each of their last 5 preseason games. The Browns racked up 24 points and 254 yards while allowing 13 points and 267 yards. In the winning effort, Joshua Dobbs threw for 108 yards and 1 touchdown, while Josh Rosen completed 6 of 7 passes. Jerome Ford led the Browns with 57 rushing yards and 1 touchdown, while Nakia Griffin-Stewart and Daylen Baldwin combined for 62 receiving yards on 6 receptions. Dakota Allen led the Browns with 8 tackles, Isaiah Thomas had 2 sacks and Martin Emerson Jr. had 1 interception.

The Eagles are 5-11 ATS in their last 16 road games and 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Browns are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games and 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The under is 4-1 in Eagles last 5 road games. The under is 4-0 in Browns last 4 games overall. The Eagles are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 meetings in Cleveland.

The Cleveland Browns looked solid in their preseason opener, and it creates value in the home underdog role here. However, I can’t get over the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback depth, with having multiple quarterbacks who have starting experience and some decent success. I cap most of my preseason games by the quarterback depth because everything else changes so much. The Eagles win their opener if their third string defense could get a stop. I still like the Eagles for preseason success.
