The Las Vegas Raiders come into this one at 2-0 after picking up a 26-20 win over the Minnesota Vikings last time out. Nick Mullens threw for 94 yards and a touchdown on 7 of 9 passing while Brittain Brown had a team-high 54 rushing yards and a TD. Austin Walter had 30 rushing yards while Jarrett Stidham rushed for a TD while throwing for 68 yards on 10 of 15 passing. DJ Turner led the Raiders in receiving with 3 catches for 58 yards and a TD while Demarcus Robinson had 28 receiving yards and Keelan Cole had a team-high 4 catches. On defense, Darien Butler led the way with 5 total tackles while Malcolm Koonce and Tashawn Bower had a sack each in the winning effort.
The Miami Dolphins will try to add to their 26-24 win over the Buccaneers last time out. Skylar Thompson threw for 218 yards and a touchdown on 20 of 28 passing while also rushing for 25 yards. Myles Gaskin led the Dolphins on the ground with 27 rushing yards while Lynn Bowden Jr. led the Dolphins in receiving with 3 catches for 55 yards and a TD. Mohamed Sanu also had 3 catches for 39 yards while Trent Sherfield had 33 receiving yards. On defense, Sam Eguavoen had a fumble recovery for a TD while D’Angelo Ross had a team-high 8 tackles including 7 solo tackles and Darius Hodge had a sack.
I get the case to be made for either side in this one, but I’m looking at the over here. The Raiders have looked good in their pair of outings so far, and the Miami Dolphins are loaded and got the win but couldn’t get the cover in their game against Tampa Bay. I think this is just a spot where the offenses come to play and we end up getting a high-scoring game, even for the preseason. Give me the over.
