The Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals do battle Sunday in week 6 NFL action from Lumen Field. Arizona enters this one at 2-3 so far. The Cardinals are coming off a close loss to the Eagles. As for Seattle, they’re 2-3 this year as well. The Seahawks lost to the Saints in their last outing. Check back all season long for free NFL picks at Sports Chat Place.

Arizona began the year with a blowout loss 44-21 to the Chiefs, but they were able to bounce back with a 29-23 overtime win versus the Raiders in game two. The Cardinals then fell 20-12 to the Rams before taking out the Panthers 26-16.

In game five versus the Eagles, Arizona gave up points in every quarter on the way to a 20-17 loss. QB Kyler Murray finished with 250 yards, one TD and one pick. James Conner led the rush with 55 yards off nine carries, and Marquise Brown had 78 yards and a score receiving.

Over on the Seahawks’ side, they were able to eke out a 17-16 win over the Broncos in their opener. Seattle lost the next two games 27-7 versus the 49ers and 27-23 versus the Falcons before eking out a high-flying 48-45 win over the Lions to kick off October.

In their matchup versus the Saints over the weekend, the Seahawks had a slim 19-17 advantage at halftime. Seattle was outscored 14-0 in the third during an eventual 39-32 loss. Quarterback Geno Smith put up 268 yards with three scores in the defeat.

The Cardinals are 5-0-1 ATS in their last six in week six and 16-5-1 ATS in their last 22 in October. Arizona is 7-3 ATS versus a team with a losing record.

Meanwhile, the Seahawks are 7-15 ATS in their last 22 versus the NFC and 4-1 ATS in their last five games in October. The over is 6-1 in Seattle’s last seven versus the NFC

PICK: I’m going to take a stab on the Seahawks. Seattle did a few good things in their seven-point loss to the Saints over the weekend, but they also shot themselves in the foot considering several stats from that game. Seattle posted 396 total yards and 8.1 yards per play, but went just 1-of-10 on third- and fourth-down tries and committed 12 penalties. The defense had a couple of turnovers, but also allowed 438 yards and 26 first downs.

As for Arizona, they had another near-miss loss against Philly and the offense didn’t stay on the field much (25:21 time of possession). The Cardinals have a great shot at winning this one, but I think Seattle can keep pace for a cover.
