The Arizona Cardinals and the San Francisco 49ers meet Sunday in NFL action from Levi’s Stadium. Arizona is 4-12 so far this year. The Cardinals lost to the Falcons in their last game. As for San Francisco, they’re 12-4 after a win over the Raiders on Sunday. Check back all season long for free NFL picks at Sports Chat Place.

Arizona managed to win just three of their first seven games this year, taking out the Raiders, Panthers and Saints. The Cardinals would beat the Rams three games later, then lose to the 49ers, Chargers, Patriots, Broncos, Bucs and Falcons in succession.

On Sunday versus the Falcons, the Cardinal were within one point at halftime 14-13. Arizona took a brief lead going into the fourth quarter but eventually lost 20-19. QB David Blough put up 222 points with one score, and James Connor rushed for 79 yards.

Over on the San Francisco side, they were 3-4 after seven games this year. The 49ers have since turned it around with wins over the Rams, Chargers, Cardinals, Saints, Dolphins, Buccaneers, Seahawks, Commanders and Raiders.

In the Sunday game versus the Raiders, San Francisco was down 24-21 going into the fourth quarter. The 49ers forced overtime and eventually won it 37-34. QB Brock Purdy managed 284 yards with two scores, while Christian McCaffrey had 121 yards and a TD on 19 carries.

Arizona is 12-5 ATS in their last 17 road games and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 in January. The Cardinals are 1-4 ATS in their last five after an ATS win.

Meanwhile, the 49ers are 7-0 ATS in their last seven versus the NFC West and 4-0 ATS in their last four at home. San Francisco is 5-1 ATS in their last six on grass.

PICK: I’ll probably stay with San Francisco. Probably also staying away from this one. The 49ers have the division all wrapped up but there’s still some playoff seeding to play for. The last time these teams met up back on November 21, San Francisco rolled to a 38-10 victory under Jimmy Garoppolo. The 49ers have scored 33 or more points in four of the six games since then and shouldn’t have any issues putting up a big number here. As for Arizona, they’ve got a couple of close tough-luck losses in their last pair of outings but I don’t think they’ll get close enough to cover here.
