Ravens vs Texans Prediction 10/5/25 NFL Picks Today

The Houston Texans and the Baltimore Ravens meet Sunday in NFL action from M&T Bank Stadium. Here’s a Ravens vs Texans prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Ravens vs Texans pick.

Houston Texans Betting Preview

Houston had a pretty rough time in their first three games this year, logging defeats in all of them. The Texans kicked things off with a 14-9 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, then fell in a rough outcome 20-19 versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Houston lost by one score in game three versus the Jacksonville Jaguars 17-10 on September 21. In that one the Texans offense posted 271 yards (184 passing) with 4.6 yards per play, 13 first downs a 4-of-15 success rate on third-down tries and three turnovers.

In last weekend’s matchup versus the Tennessee Titans, Houston finally got that elusive victory—and did it in a big way. The Texans were up by a modest 6-0 score heading into the fourth quarter, then came alive for a 20-0 run in a 26-0 victory in the end. QB CJ Stroud logged 233 yards with both scores on 22-of-28 passing and Jo’quavious Marks led the rushers with 17 carries for 69 yards and a score of his own. Nico Collins was tops in receiving with four catches for 79 yards in the winning effort.

Baltimore Ravens Betting Preview

Over on the Baltimore side, they opened up their season with some tough matchups, first coming on the road against the Bills in a 41-40 loss. The Ravens would take out the Cleveland Browns in game two 41-7, but then fell in a 38-30 home outcome versus the Detroit Lions. Baltimore gave up 426 total yards in that one, including 224 on the ground alongside 6.5 yards per play. The Ravens offense managed 318 yards themselves (233 passing), 21 first downs and 6-of-11 on third-down tries.

On Sunday versus Kansas City, the Ravens had a tough road game. Baltimore was up 7-3 early but then gave up 17 points in the second quarter on the way to a 37-20 loss. The Ravens managed to score in every quarter along the way—but also gave up points in every quarter. QB Lamar Jackson finished 14-of-20 for 147 yards, one TD and one pick, while Justice Hill carried three times for 76 yards and a score as the team’s top rusher. Zay Flowers led the receivers on seven catches for 74 yards in the defeat.

Ravens vs Texans Prediction

I’ll stick with Baltimore in this one. The Ravens do need a good bounce-back effort after a pretty lousy road game versus the Chiefs, though. Baltimore tallied 360 total yards (194 passing) in that one with 18 first downs, a 3-of-10 success rate on third-down conversions and a couple of turnovers. On defense the Ravens held KC to just 5-of-15 on third downs but also surrendered 382 total yards (264 passing), 24 first downs and a perfect 4-of-4 conversion rate on fourth-down efforts. Baltimore has given up 37 or more points in each of their defeats so far this year. Granted, those have all come against very good teams but it hasn’t been easy for the offense to keep up. The Ravens do have 30 or more points themselves in three of four outings, however.

As for Houston, they get credit for finally finding a win versus an admittedly struggling Tennessee squad. Now that the proverbial monkey is off their collective back, the Texans can take some pride in their defensive performance. Houston gave up just 175 yards (93 passing) total with 3.8 yards per play, 10 first downs and 2-of-11 on third-down tries. Going up against Baltimore is obviously going to be a much tougher proposition though.
