Bears vs Browns Prediction 8/15/26 NFL Picks Today

The Cleveland Browns and Chicago Bears meet Saturday in NFL preseason action at Soldier Field. Here’s a Bears vs Browns Prediction. This article will include a Bears vs Browns Pick.

Cleveland Browns Betting Preview

The Browns won 5 games last season and have made the playoffs just twice since the 2003 season. Cleveland now begins the Todd Monken era.

The Browns look like they’re going to be a train wreck offensively. They don’t know who the quarterback is in a battle between Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders. The offensive line is revamped, and first-round pick Spencer Fano will be thrown into the mix. Wide receiver Jerry Jeudy is a bright spot, and running back Quinshon Judkins is reliable, but there are far more questions than answers on this side of the ball.

defensively hte Browns no longer have Myles Garrett, but Jared Verse can hold his own on the defensive line. Denzel Ward is a proven corner and will be the star in the secondary. Overall, Mike Rutenberg has some work to do as defensive coordinator, as you can argue this group was more talented last season.

Chicago Bears Betting Preview

The Bears won 11 games last season and have a chance to make the playoffs in back-to-back years for the first time since 2006. Ben Johnson enters his second year as head coach and looks to prove last season wasn’t a fluke.

Caleb Williams had a breakout season and is somebody who really grew on me down the stretch. Williams could be legit, folks, and that raises the Bears’ ceiling drastically. The Bears offensive line is above average, and there are decent skill players in Rome Odunze, Luther Burden III, and Colston Loveland. This Bears offense is young and talented and could thrive under offensive coordinator Press Taylor.

Defensively, the Bears have question marks, as there are depth issues in all three areas. The line has Montez Sweat, but he needs help up front. The linebacker corps got better with the addition of Devin Bush, and first-round pick Dillon Thieneman may start right away. The Bears underachieved defensively last season, and I’m not sure they did enough to erase the concerns. Still, the Bears are fun and will score a lot. You can’t sleep on this team.

Bears vs Browns Prediction

Those who have followed me over the years know my handicapping in preseason is all about the quarterback position. The rest of the positions are toss-ups, and you have no idea who is going to play nd for how long. The one constant thing is decent quarterback play and the guys who can put points on the board.

The Browns have a legit quarterback battle in Watson and Sanders, and that’s always appealing to me. It guarantees both guys will get deep playing time, and it gives us more of an idea of what we’re going to get. Dillon Gabriel played a large chunk of 2025, and that should do wonders for him in the preseason. Also, Taylen Green was a star at Arkansas, and I believe he’ll have a chance at some point to start in the NFL. I like the Browns QB situation at least for the preseason. This group should have success. I’ll lay the points.
