In this article we will formulate a Buccaneers vs Bills prediction for this NFL game on Saturday, August 23rd at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this week three matchup in the preseason.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers Betting Preview
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are 2-0 in the preseason after they defeated Pittsburgh by a score of 17-14 in their last game. Tampa Bay jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter and they led 14-7 after one, before a scoreless second quarter for each team. The Buccaneers allowed a touchdown to tie the game in the third, but they kicked a field goal as time expired in the fourth for the victory. Tampa Bay was out gained by a total of 316-240, went 6-18 on third down, and won the turnover battle by a total of 3-2 in the win. Connor Bazelak went 14-18 for 106 yards, Teddy Bridgewater went 6-11 for 85 yards and two touchdowns, and Kyle Trask went 3-10 for 19 yards in the game. Josh Williams rushed for 21 yards on five carries, while Sterling Shepard caught three passes for 47 yards. The TB defense was led by Bullock, Vildor, and Merriweather, who all had four total tackles, while the team racked up four sacks.
The Buccaneers won their first preseason game against Tennessee by a score of 29-7, so they will be looking to go 3-0 with a win here. Tampa Bay out gained Tennessee by a total of 348-201, went 7-16 on third down, and won the turnover battle by a total of 3-1. The Bucs are expected to play Kyle Trask and Teddy Bridgewater at quarterback for this game.
Buffalo Bills Betting Preview
The Buffalo Bills are 0-2 in the preseason after they lost by a score of 38-0 last week against Chicago. Buffalo trailed 7-0 after the first quarter and they didn’t score in the first half, as they trailed 28-0 at the half. The Bills did play better defense in the second half, but they were still outscored 10-0 for the blowout loss. Buffalo was out gained by a total of 528-180, went 0-8 on third down conversions, and lost the turnover battle 1-0 in the game. Mitchell Trubisky went 7-13 for 55 yards, Mike White went 4-11 for 54 yards, and Shane Buechele went 1-4 for 11 yards. Frank Gore Jr. rushed eight times for 51 yards, while also catching four passes for 30 yards in the game. The Buffalo defense was led by Jordan Hancock and Dorian Strong, who both had eight tackles, while Hoecht picked up a sack.
Buffalo started their 2025 preseason with a 34-25 loss against the Giants in their first game. The Bills were out gained by a total of 396-389, went 1-9 on third downs, and lost the turnover battle by a total of 1-0. I don’t think we will see too much of Trubisky in this game, so Mike White and Shane Buechele should see most of the action.

Buccaneers vs Bills Prediction
Buffalo comes into this matchup looking to find some positives after their blowout loss last week. The Bills have allowed 72 points in their last two games, but will face a Tampa Bay offense that shouldn’t be very high scoring here. On the other side, Buffalo should also have some issues moving the ball, as I don’t have faith in White or Buechele. Take the under in this game.
