Carolina Panthers vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers Prediction 12-1-24 NFL Picks

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Carolina Panthers meet Sunday in NFL action from Bank of America Stadium. Here’s a Carolina Panthers vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Panthers vs Buccaneers pick.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Betting Preview

Tampa Bay managed to carve out a 4-3 run over their first seven games. The wins in that time were over the Commanders, Lions, Eagles, and Saints. Since then it’s been a 1-3 stretch with losses to the Falcons, Chiefs, and 49ers ahead of a win versus the Giants.

Matched up against the Giants on Sunday, the Bucs didn’t have too many issues. Tampa Bay jumped out to a 23-0 halftime edge and cruised to the win 30-7. Baker Mayfield threw for 294 yards with a rush score. Bucky Irving was tops on the ground with 12 totes for 87 yards and a TD of his own.

Carolina Panthers Betting Preview

Over on the Panthers’ side, they lost to the Saints, Chargers, Bengals, Bears, Falcons, and Commanders over their first seven games. Carolina has gone 2-2 in their last four with wins over the Saints and Giants sandwiched between losses to the Broncos and Chiefs.

Carolina was down 20-9 by halftime in their matchup with the Chiefs last weekend. The Panthers played better in the second half but eventually still lost 30-27. Bryce Young threw for 263 yards and a score. David Moore led the receivers on six catches for 81 yards and the TD.

Carolina Panthers vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers Prediction

I’ll probably just stay with Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers had the good fortune of playing a New York team in their last outing, resulting in 450 total yards (294 passing), 24 first downs, and 7.3 yards per play. The D held strong against a weak Giants offense, giving up just 245 yards (169 passing) and 17 first downs. It was a solid performance and a much-needed victory to stop a four-game skid. Tampa Bay should match up well here also.

As for Carolina, they started pretty slowly versus the Chiefs but eventually made a game of it. The Panthers offense could only muster 5-of-13 on third downs and the team registered nine penalties in a sloppy game (19 overall penalties), however. Carolina is scoring better lately with 20 or more points in three straight. That follows a two-game stretch with a combined 21 points in October. That said, even in a comfy home game Carolina probably lacks the offensive firepower to keep a cover pace on Tampa Bay if the Bucs are playing well.
