Dolphins vs Giants Prediction 8/22/26 NFL Picks Today

The New York Giants and the Miami Dolphins meet Saturday in NFL action from Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens. Here’s a Dolphins vs Giants prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Dolphins vs Giants pick.

New York Giants Betting Preview

New York had a pretty ugly run in 2025. The Giants posted a 4-13 run, which was slightly better than the 3-14 record from 2024. There were a few bright spots: New York beat the rival Eagles (Week 6) and Cowboys (Week 18) as part of their four wins. Still, the Giants missed the playoffs for the third consecutive year and for the 14th time in the last 17 seasons.

In their preseason opener last Saturday versus the Minnesota Vikings, the Giants held a 10-3 lead at halftime. New York got blanked 10-0 in the second half however, and lost 13-10. Jameis Winston threw for 89 yards on 8-of-9 passing while Brandon Allen had 45 yards and two picks. Jaxson Dart added a 3-for-4 line with 26 yards and a score.

Miami Dolphins Betting Preview

Over on the Miami side, they had a rough year in 2025. The Dolphins couldn’t equal an 8-9 record from the year before. Miami would end up going 7-10 overall, which left them in third place in the division (in front of only the perennial basement-dwelling Jets). The Dolphins started out at just 2-7 but then bagged four straight victories in the middle of the season. It’s been 25 years since the Dolphins have won a postseason matchup, which is the longest active streak in the league.

Matched up against the Washington Commanders last Friday, the Dolphins opened up a seven-point lead in the first quarter, then gave up 17 unanswered points in the second. Miami was kept off the scoreboard the rest of the way in a 20-7 loss. QB Cam Miller posted 39 yards and two picks on 3-of-11 passing while both Ollie Gordon and De’Von Achane (TD) had seven carries for 39 rush yards apiece.

Dolphins vs Giants Prediction

I’ll stick with the Giants, but I’m not going anywhere near this one. New York didn’t look too bad while Dart was out there in the Minnesota game, but couldn’t get any offense going in the second half. The Giants ended up with just 201 yards (131 passing), 3.9 yards per play, 11 first downs and 5-of-13 on third downs. The defense played well overall though with 238 yards allowed (111 rushing) and 4-of-12 on third downs.

As for Miami, they didn’t look great in their first preseason outing versus the Commanders. The Dolphins had just 226 yards on offense (109 passing), 10 first downs, three picks and a rough 3-of-11 success rate on third downs. The defense wasn’t terrible overall but couldn’t get off the field (35:23 in time of possession for Washington). Miami needs to show some life on offense here.
