Jacksonville Jaguars vs NY Jets Prediction 12-15-24 NFL Picks

The New York Jets and the Jacksonville Jaguars meet Sunday in NFL action from EverBank Stadium. Here’s a Jacksonville Jaguars vs NY Jets Prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Jaguars vs Jets pick.

New York Jets Betting Preview

The Jets are mired in yet another lost season, starting out 2-6 with losses to the 49ers, Broncos, Vikings, Bills, Steelers and Patriots. After a win over Houston, New York fell to the Cardinals, Colts, and Seahawks in the next three.

Matched up against Miami last weekend, the Jets were up 23-15 going into the fourth quarter but were outscored 17-3 from there in a 32-26 overtime loss. QB Aaron Rodgers logged 339 yards with a TD. Garrett Wilson bagged seven catches for 114 yards as the lead receiver.

Jacksonville Jaguars Betting Preview

Over on the Jaguars’ side, they started out on a 2-5 run with losses to the Dolphins, Browns, Bills, Texans, and Bears. Jacksonville hit another losing streak after that, dropping to the Packers, Eagles, Vikings, Lions, and Texans.

In Sunday’s game versus the Titans, Jacksonville scored 10 unanswered points in the fourth quarter for a wild 10-6 comeback win. Mac Jones logged 220 yards with a pair of picks, and Tank Bigsby led the rush on 55 yards and a score off 18 carries.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs NY Jets Prediction

I’ll stay with Jacksonville. The Jaguars didn’t really get going until the fourth quarter in their last game, ultimately notching 291 total yards with 16 first downs and two turnovers. The Jacksonville defense gave up 272 yards and 17 first downs on the other side, holding Tennessee to a pair of field goals. That said, the Jags have seven or fewer points in two of the last four games (a 1-3 run) so they may have to rely on defense once again this Sunday.

As for the Jets, last Sunday they found yet another way to lose, giving up an OT touchdown pass for the six-point loss. New York committed 10 penalties for 83 yards in that one, but the offense didn’t look too bad on paper with 402 yards and 23 first downs. That said, the Jets’ once-fearsome defense has given up 26 or more points in four straight games. The Jaguars can pull this one off if they play to their capabilities.
