Las Vegas Raiders vs New England Patriots 12/18/22 NFL Picks, Predictions, Odds

The New England Patriots and the Las Vegas Raiders meet in week 15 NFL action from Allegiant Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The New England Patriots will look to build on their 27-13 road win over Arizona last time out. Mac Jones has thrown for 2,198 yards, 7 touchdowns and 2 interceptions on 68.7% passing. Rhamondre Stevenson has a team-high 742 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns while Jakobi Meyers has a team-high 593 receiving yards, DeVante Parker has 460 receiving yards and Hunter Henry has 406 receiving yards as well this season. On defense, Ja’Whaun Bentley has a team-high 87 total tackles while Matthew Judon has a team-high 14.5 sacks, Josh Uche has 10 sacks and Deatrich Wise Jr. has 6.5 sacks as well this season.

The Las Vegas Raiders will look to bounce back from a 17-16 road loss to the Rams in their last game. Derek Carr has thrown for 3,117 yards, 20 touchdowns and 10 interceptions on 62% passing while Josh Jacobs leads the Raiders in rushing with 1,402 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns this season. Davante Adams leads the Raiders with 82 grabs and 1,247 receiving yards with 12 touchdowns while Mack Hollins has 588 receiving yards as well this season. On defense, Divine Deablo has a team-high 74 total tackles while Maxx Crosby has a team-high 11.5 sacks this season.

New England is 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 road games and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall while the under is 4-0 in their last 4 games against the AFC. Las Vegas is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 home games and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games against a team with a winning record while the under is 4-0 in their last 4 games in December.

I get the case to be made for either side here, but I really didn’t like how the Raiders looked against the Rams and I don’t expect the Raiders to have a ton of success here either against this Patriots pass rush. The Pats aren’t going to blow anyone away offensively, but the defense gets after it and should force Derek Carr into mistakes that we’ve become accustomed to seeing from him over the years. Give me New England here.
