Los Angeles Rams vs San Francisco 49ers 10/30/22 NFL Pick, Prediction, Odds

The Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers do battle Sunday in week 8 NFL action from SoFi Stadium. San Francisco is 3-4 so far this year and coming off a loss to the Chiefs. As for Los Angeles, they’re 3-3 overall and fresh off a bye week. Check back all season long for free NFL picks at Sports Chat Place.

San Francisco kicked off their 2022 campaign with a loss to the Bears, a win over the Seahawks and a 11-10 loss to the Broncos. The 49ers were able to win consecutive games versus the Rams and Panthers, but then fell 28-14 to the Falcons.

In last weekend’s matchup with the Chiefs, San Francisco had a 14-13 deficit at halftime. The 49ers gave up 30 points in the second half in an eventual 44-23 loss. QB Jimmy Garoppolo put up 303 yards with two scores and a pick. George Kittle caught six balls for 98 yards and a TD.

Over on the Rams’ side, they lost to the Bills in their opener then took out the Falcons and Cardinals in back-to-back outings. Los Angeles lost consecutive games to the 49ers and Cowboys before a game six victory over Carolina.

In the Panthers game, the Rams were down 10-7 at halftime. Los Angeles outscored Carolina 17-0 in the second half in a 24-10 victory. QB Matthew Stafford put up 253 yards with one TD and one interception, and Darrell Henderson carried 12 times for 43 yards and a score.

The 49ers are 4-0 ATS in the last four versus the NFC West and 8-2 ATS in the last 10 versus the NFC. San Francisco is 6-2 ATS in their last eight after an ATS loss.

Meanwhile, the Rams are 11-4-1 ATS in the last 16 after a bye week and 4-9 ATS versus a team with a losing record. LA is 1-4 ATS in their last five in October.

PICK: I’m going to take a stab on the Rams. Los Angeles posted a solid outing versus the Panthers prior to their bye week, and the extra week of rest should do the team some good. The Rams need a nice bounce-back effort after the last time these teams met up back on October 3; That one was a 24-9 San Francisco victory. LA had a pretty flat offensive effort in that loss, posting 257 total yards (57 rushing) with two turnovers and a 5-of-15 run on third-down tries. I like the Rams to sharpen up in this one and come back from the break with a cover.
