Saints vs Giants Prediction 10/5/25 NFL Picks Today

The New York Giants and the New Orleans Saints meet Sunday in NFL action from Caesars Superdome. Here’s a Saints vs Giants prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Saints vs Giants pick.

New York Giants Betting Preview

The Giants didn’t get off to a great start this season, but they’ve had a few bright spots over four games so far. New York kicked things off with a 21-6 loss to the Washington Commanders in their opener, then lost a tough one to the Dallas Cowboys in a rivalry game 40-37 in overtime on September 14. Game three was another loss, this time versus the Kansas City Chiefs 22-9. In that one the Giants’ offense was stymied for most of the day on 281 total yards (151 passing), 4.6 yards per play and an ugly 1-of-10 on third-down tries alongside two picks.

Last weekend versus the Los Angeles Chargers, New York got their first win of the year in somewhat surprising fashion. The Giants were up 13-10 heading into the second half and managed to hang on for the win 21-18 in the end. QB Jaxson Dart was 13-of-20 for 111 yards and one touchdown, while Cameron Skattebo rushed 25 times for 79 yards. Darius Slayton added three receptions for 44 yards in the winning effort.

New Orleans Saints Betting Preview

Over on the Saints’ side, they’ve had a rough start to the season on a winless four-game run but they’ve gotten close a couple of times. New Orleans opened things up with a 20-13 home loss versus the Arizona Cardinals, then fell in Week 2 versus the San Francisco 49ers 26-21. Week 3 was the Saints’ biggest loss so far, a 44-13 drubbing at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks. The New Orleans defense gave up 320 yards in that one (233 passing) with 5.9 yards per play, 22 first downs and a respectable 3-of-9 on third-down tries.

In their latest outing Sunday versus the Buffalo Bills, the Saints were within five points heading into the fourth quarter. New Orleans was outscored 10-3 from there however, leading to a 31-19 defeat in the end. QB Spencer Rattler finished with an 18-of-27 line for 126 yards and one touchdown, while Alvin Kamara carried 15 times for 70 yards as the team’s leading rusher. New Orleans’ Rashid Shaheed was the top receiver with 47 yards on four catches.

Saints vs Giants Prediction

I’m going to lean toward the Saints, but you could call it either way. This one’s going to be an interesting game—even though it involves teams with just one win between them so far. New Orleans was able to hang around with Buffalo on the road last weekend until late in the game, even though there wasn’t much going on offensively. The Saints finished with 298 total yards (109 passing), 4.6 yards per play and a 5-of-13 success rate on third downs. On defense New Orleans gave up 356 yards (191 passing) and 6.2 yards per play with a solid 3-of-10 allowed on third-down conversions. Buffalo’s 11 penalties helped the cause, but there were some encouraging signs there in a difficult matchup. It wasn’t a horrible effort after getting blown out by the Seahawks on the road a weekend before.

As for the Giants, they benefitted from 14 Chargers penalties but the defense deserves some credit. Specifically the 4-of-12 effort on third-down tries is something to be happy about, even if the offense generated just 89 pass yards. New York also committed eight penalties themselves, but you can’t really argue with the result—which was a win at long last. It’s tough to know what to make of either team right now though, so I’m staying away.
