Giants vs Vikings Prediction 12/21/25 NFL Picks Today

The Minnesota Vikings and the New York Giants meet Sunday in NFL action from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford. Here’s a Giants vs Vikings prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Giants vs Vikings pick.

Minnesota Vikings Betting Preview

Minnesota went 3-2 in their first five games, losing to the Falcons and Steelers among wins over the Bears, Bengals and Browns. After the bye week, the Vikings hit a rough 2-6 run over the next eight games. Those wins were over the Lions and Commanders; otherwise it was losses to the Eagles, Chargers, Ravens, Bears, Packers and Seahawks in that time, giving Minnesota  5-8 record across their first 13 outings.

In the matchup with Dallas last weekend Minnesota held a one-point lead going into the final quarter. The Vikings hit a 10-3 run from there in a 34-26 win. JJ McCarthy had a 15-of-24 line for 250 yards, two scores and a pick. Aaron Jones led the rush on 34 yards from 12 carries and Jordan Addison added two catches for 66 yards as the team’s leading receiver.

New York Giants Betting Preview

Over on the Giants’ side, they opened the year at 2-4 overall with wins over only the Chargers and Eagles. Otherwise it was losses to the commanders, Cowboys, Chiefs and Saints in that time. New York would lose to the Broncos, Eagles, 49ers, Bears, Packers, Lions and Patriots in the next seven games heading into the bye week, giving the team a 2-11 record in their first 13 games.

Matched up against the Commanders on Sunday the Giants managed to score in each of the final three quarters but couldn’t overcome 19 points surrendered in the second on the way to a 29-21 loss. QB Jaxson Dart had a 20-of-36 line for 246 yards, two scores and a pick while Tyrone Tracy had 15 carries for 70 yards and a TD. Theo Johnson was the leading receiver with three catches for 72 yards in the losing effort.

Giants vs Vikings Prediction

I’ll lean toward the Giants but I’m probably not touching this one. New York limped to another loss versus the Commanders last weekend despite holding Washington to just 3-of-11 on third downs alongside a couple of fumble recoveries. Even the Commanders’ 11 penalties didn’t help matters much. New York mustered 384 yards on offense with 22 first downs but went just 2-of-12 on third-down tries themselves. That makes eight straight losses for New York, but they’ve managed to be competitive in a handful of those.

As for the Vikes, they tallied 327 yards with 21 first downs and a rough 2-of-9 on third downs in their eight-point win over the Cowboys. Minnesota’s defense gave up 423 yards on the other side but held strong on third downs with a 2-of-12 success rate allowed. Minnesota has consecutive wins in the bag now, with 65 combined points in that pair. I could easily see the Vikings controlling this game from front to back.
