Cleveland Browns Betting Preview
The Browns started out the season on a rough note, but things have picked up quite well since then. Cleveland lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars in a road matchup 34-10 in their opener, but then came back for a 23-19 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Game three was another victory for Cleveland, this time 21-18 over the Carolina Panthers for a nice 2-1 start.
The Browns took on the rival Pittsburgh Steelers last Thursday in game four. Cleveland entered the fourth quarter up 21-10 but let Pittsburgh get a couple of touchdowns from there. In the end after a game-winning field goal the Browns and a 27-24 victory, though. QB Deshaun Watson was 24-of-33 for 268 yards, one TD and one interception in the winning effort.
New York Jets Betting Preview
Over on the Jets’ side, they haven’t exactly been setting the record books on fire this year but they’ve at least been mostly competitive. New York opened up the season with a nice road win 23-10 over the Tennessee Titans, but then took a tough overtime loss at home 20-17 versus Green Bay in game two. Game three was another loss, this time 31-24 versus the Detroit Lions.
Matched up against the Chicago Bears last weekend the Jets were only able to muster a field goal in the first half and limped into the locker room with a 13-3 deficit. New York was never really a threat to Chicago and ultimately lost the game 23-12. QB Geno Smith finished 8-of-15 for 119 yards and a TD. Braelon Allen rushed 14 times for 59 yards.

Jets vs Browns Prediction
I’ll stay with Cleveland. Don’t look now, but the Browns are 3-1 and sitting on a nice win streak. Cleveland had to work for it in their win over the Steelers, notching 22 first downs, 372 total yards and a tepid 4-of-10 on third downs. The defense gave up 361 yards on the other side and had a couple of takeaways. If Cleveland can score in the 20s again I think they’ll be good to go here.
As for the Jets, they chalked up another rough offensive outing in their road loss to the Bears. New York mustered just 157 total yards and seven first downs, and the 12 team penalties for 76 yards didn’t help. Defensively the Jets came up with a couple of takeaways but also gave up 492 total yards with 34 first downs. I don’t have a whole lot of confidence in their ability to score these days; they’ve managed 17 or fewer points in two of the last three (all losses).
