Over on the Seahawks’ side, they kicked off the year with a tough matchup versus the New England Patriots. Seattle surged on a 10-0 fourth-quarter run, ultimately pulling out the win 13-10. In game two versus the Arizona Cardinals, the Seahawks kept it going. Seattle posted a 24-0 advantage in the second half on the way to a 31-7 road victory.
Matched up against the Washington Commanders in game three, the Seahawks were within seven points 17-10 by the end of the first half. Seahawks vs Chargers Prediction
I’ll go with the Seahawks. Seattle shot themselves in the proverbial foot several times in their two-point road loss to the Commanders last weekend. The Seahawks posted 393 pass yards and 28 first downs but went just 3-of-9 on third-downs along with three turnovers. The eight penalties for 53 yards didn’t help either. The defense actually played quite well with 17 first downs and 3-of-13 on third downs allowed. It was a weird statistical game.
As for LA, they couldn’t get a whole lot going versus the Bills last weekend, with 348 yards, 20 first downs and 6-of-15 on third-down tries in the books. The Chargers defense came up with five takeaways and the team benefitted from 10 Buffalo penalties but it wasn’t enough. This week’s matchup will be another tricky one, and it’ll be a fun game to watch.
