SNF: Dallas Cowboys vs Indianapolis Colts 12/4/22 NFL Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Dallas Cowboys and Indianapolis Colts clash in week 13 NFL Sunday Night Football from AT&T Stadium. The Colts are fresh off a Monday night matchup versus the Steelers. In that game, Indianapolis lost by seven points. As for the Cowboys, they’re sitting at 8-3 overall following a win versus the Giants in their last outing. Indianapolis hit a 3-2-1 run over their first six games, taking wins over the Chiefs, Broncos and Jaguars in that stretch. The Colts hit a 1-4 run in their next five outings with losses to the Titans, Commanders, Patriots and Eagles.

Matched up against the Steelers on Monday, the Colts were down 16-3 going into the third quarter. Indianapolis scored 14 points in the third but eventually lost 24-17. Quarterback Matt Ryan put up 199 yards with a TD and a pick. Jonathan Taylor led the rush with 86 yards and a  score.

Over on the Dallas side, it’s been a pretty solid run so far this year. The Cowboys went 4-2 over their first six games, beating the Bengals, Giants, Commanders and Rams. Dallas is 4-1 since then with victories versus the Lions, Bears, Vikings and Giants.

In the Giants game back on Thanksgiving, the Cowboys trailed 13-7 going into the second half. Dallas outscored New York 21-7 from there in a 28-20 comeback win. QB Dak Prescott posted 261 yards with two scores and two picks. Ezekiel Elliott bagged 92 yards and a score rushing.

The Colts are 5-2 ATS in their last seven in December and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 after a straight-up loss. Indianapolis is 2-5 ATS in their last seven road games.
Meanwhile, the Cowboys are 7-0 ATS in the last seven in December and 13-3 ATS versus a team with a losing record. Dallas is 4-1 ATS in the last five at home.

PICK: I’m probably staying with Dallas. The Cowboys have been playing very well since late October. They’re 4-1 in that stretch with a lone OT loss versus the Packers to show for it. Dallas has gotten some extra time to prep following their early Thursday game, and they’re facing a Colts team on a short week.

Speaking of Indianapolis, they had a pretty meager offensive outing against the Steelers—and still were in position to win late in the game. The Colts posted 290 total yards (110 rushing) with two turnovers, 25:38 in time of possession and just 3-of-12 conversions on third down. I don’t think Indy can hang around for very long with Dallas in a road matchup.
