SNF: Kansas City Chiefs vs Tennessee Titans 11/6/22 NFL Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Kansas City Chiefs and Tennessee Titans clash in week 9 NFL Sunday Night Football from Arrowhead Stadium.

The Tennessee Titans will try to build on their current five-game win streak, sitting at 5-2 on the year after a 17-10 win over the Houston Texans last time out. Ryan Tannehill has thrown for 1,097 yards. 6 touchdowns and 3 interceptions on 65.1% passing while Malik Willis has thrown for 61 yards and an interception on 50% passing. Derrick Henry leads the Titans with 755 rushing yards and 7 touchdowns so far this season. Robert Woods leads the Titans with 22 catches for 256 receiving yards while another five receivers for Tennessee have 100+ receiving yards, including Dontrell Hilliard who has 3 TDs as well on the year. On defense, David Long Jr. has a team-high 53 total tackles while Jeffery Simmons has a team-high 5.5 sacks and Denico Autry has 5 sacks as well. Rashad Weaver also has 4 sacks on the year for Tennessee.

The Kansas City Chiefs had their bye week last week, but will be looking to build on their own 5-2 record after a 44-23 win over San Francisco in their last game. Patrick Mahomes has thrown for 2,159 yards, 20 touchdowns and 5 interceptions on 66.9% passing while Clyde Edwards-Helaire has a team-high 288 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns. Travis Kelce leads KC’s receiving group with 47 grabs for 553 receiving yards and 7 TDs while JuJu Smith-Schuster has 494 receiving yards as well. Marquez Valdes-Scantling also has 369 receiving yards and Mecole Hardman, Skyy Moore, Jerick McKinnon and the aforementioned Edwards-Helaire each have 100+ receiving yards as well this season. On defense, Nick Bolton has a team-high 70 total tackles with a pair of sacks while Chris Jones has a team-high 5 sacks and L’Jarius Sneed has 3.5 sacks this season.

Tennessee is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following an ATS win while the under is 7-3 in their last 10 games against the AFC. Kansas City is 0-4 ATS in their last 4 home games and 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games against the AFC while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 games in November.

I get the case to be made for the Titans, catching a boatload of points here and it’s worth monitoring Ryan Tannehill’s status throughout the week to see if he comes back for this game. If he doesn’t, I like the Chiefs. I love Derrick Henry, but he can only do so much and Malik Willis didn’t have a great game against the Houston Texans of all teams, and now he’d have to go on the road, in primetime, to a raucous Arrowhead Stadium and take on the Chiefs? Not likely. This Chiefs group got more potent by adding Kadarius Toney and under the lights is where Mahomes shines his brightest. I look for this game to get a bit ugly, so I’ll back the Chiefs here.
