New York came out of the gate this year with a three-game losing streak before finally getting an OT win over the Saints. New York has gone 2-3 since then with losses to the Cowboys, Rams and Chiefs alongside wins over the Panthers and Raiders.
In the 23-16 win over the Raiders back on November 7, the Giants outscored Vegas 13-3 in the second half to secure the victory. QB Daniel Jones finished on 110 yards with a TD, and Devontae Booker put up 21 carries for 99 yards to lead the rush.
Over on the Tampa Bay side, their season began at 6-1 with wins over the Cowboys, Falcons, Patriots, Dolphins, Eagles and Bears. Since then the Buccaneers are 0-2, losing 36-27 to the Saints and 29-19 to Washington in that pair.
In the loss to the Team, Tampa Bay started slow with a 16-6 halftime deficit. QB Tom Brady finished on 220 yards, two TDs and two picks. Leonard Fournette led the rush on 47 yards and Mike Evans caught two balls for 62 yards and a score.
The Giants are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games in November and 21-6 ATS in their last 27 road games. New York is 9-4 ATS in their last 13 versus the NFC.
Meanwhile, the Bucs are 7-1 ATS in their last eight home games and 12-3-2 ATS in the last 17 in Week 11. Tampa is 3-7-2 ATS in their last 12 Monday games.
PICK: I’m going to take Tampa. I’m temped to test the Giants here thanks to the generous spread, but it’s hard to trust New York to do anything these days. The Giants had a tepid 247 total yards (98 passing) in their last game, with just 4.6 yards per play and 16 first downs. It wasn’t exactly dominant.
As for Tampa, they were out of sorts in their last game against Washington. The Bucs had just 14 first downs and two interceptions, holding the ball for only 20:52. It was certainly a down effort. Expect some adjustments here; Tampa should come back strong.
