Commanders vs Rams Prediction
I’ll stick with the Commanders but you could probably call this one either way. Washington got a nice win over a struggling Eagles team last weekend on 339 yards, 16 first downs and a shaky 5-of-13 on third-down tries. Defense is where the team really excelled in that one though, as that unit held Philly to just 5-of-15 on third downs and 268 total yards along with two takeaways. Washington is generally scoring pretty well this year with 20 or more points in five of seven games. Their only defeat to come by more than one score was a 37-20 loss at Dallas in Week 2. The Commanders will be competitive against most teams if they play to their capabilities.
As for the Rams, they held the Chargers to just 14 first downs and 6-of-15 on third downs alongside two takeaways. Los Angeles’ offense put up a tepid 281 yards, 16 first downs and 3-of-11 on third-down tries but they didn’t need to be super flashy amid a strong defensive effort. The Rams have scored a combined 59 points over their last two games and they’re feeling confident going into another winnable matchup. It should be a close one.

Los Angeles Rams Betting Preview
This year the Rams have been a mixed bag with more downs than ups. Los Angeles started out on a 2-2 run with wins over the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles mixed with losses to the 49ers and Broncos. After two more losses to the Buffalo Bills and Arizona Cardinals, the Rams posted a win over the Raiders. That victory would bring LA’s record to 3-4 overall through the first seven games.
In Sunday’s game versus the Chargers, the Rams gave up a couple of field goals in the second quarter but still had a very small lead 10-9 going into the break. LA came back out with a couple of third-quarter touchdowns and finished off the game with a 24-9 victory. QB Matthew Stafford was 17-of-25 for 157 yards, one TD and one pick. Blake Corum led the rush with 11 totes for 73 yards and a score while Puka Nacua had 11 catches for 80 yards and a touchdown.
Washington Commanders Betting Preview
Over on the Commanders’ side, they’ve had been worse luck in the win column this year. Washington was only able to win one of their first four games, taking out Seattle on September 27. The losses otherwise were versus Philadelphia, Dallas and Indianapolis. After a tie versus the rival New York Giants, the Commanders took another loss versus the 49ers for a 1-4-1 run through the first six.
In the matchup versus Philadelphia, the Commanders gave up a TD and a field goal in the first quarter but then got it going themselves in the second. Washington scored three times for a 13-10 edge at halftime. From there the Commanders held the Eagles scoreless and waltzed into a 27-10 victory. QB Jayden Daniels was 16-of-29 for 217 yards and a TD. Rachaad White had 11 carries for 55 yards and a TD while Treylon Burks had three catches for 81 yards.
