The Philadelphia Eagles and the Washington Commanders meet Sunday in NFL action from Northwest Stadium in Summerfield. Here’s a Commanders vs Eagles prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Commanders vs Eagles pick.
Philadelphia Eagles Betting Preview
The Eagles started out the season pretty well but they’ve struggled since then. After kicking things off with wins over the Washington Commanders and Tennessee Titans, Philly lost to the Chicago Bears, Los Angeles Rams, Jacksonville Jaguars and Carolina Panthers in their next four games. Over the first six games the Eagles were just 2-4 overall.
In the Monday night game versus the Dallas Cowboys, the Eagles gave up a touchdown in each of the first two quarters on the way to a 20-14 halftime deficit. Philly was up briefly 21-20 in the third but didn’t visit the scoreboard again in a 38-21 loss. QB Tanner McKee was 23-of-35 for 211 yards, one TD and one pick. Saquon Barkley had seven carries for 62 yards and a touchdown.
Washington Commanders Betting Preview
Over on the Commanders’ side, they’ve only been able to get one win so far this year. That one came in a 33-31 affair versus Seattle on September 27. Otherwise it’s been losses to the Eagles, Cowboys, Colts and San Francisco 49ers. Throw in a 27-27 tie versus the New York Giants and Washington owns a 1-4-1 record so far this year.
Back on October 19 versus San Francisco, the Commanders were in trouble at halftime trailing 20-3. Washington rallied a bit from there and made it a game but would ultimately take the loss 23-17 in the end. QB Jayden Daniels was 29-of-40 for 300 yards and two touchdowns. Chig Okonkwo caught seven balls for 69 yards as the team’s leading receiver in the defeat.

Commanders vs Eagles Prediction
I’ll take a stab on Washington but there’s not a whole lot to like here outside of the rivalry aspect. In any case, the Commanders managed to hang 314 yards and 19 first downs on the undefeated 49ers in their last outing and benefitted from San Francisco’s 11 penalties for 88 yards. The defense gave up 375 yards and 20 first downs on the other side but it wasn’t enough. Washington has scored fewer than 18 points in two of the last three games and they’re not scoring great overall this year.
As for Philly, they gave up 25 first downs and 416 total yards of offense (204 rushing) in their loss to the Cowboys on Monday. The Eagles offense managed 321 yards overall, going just 5-of-12 on third downs. Philly has lost five straight games now, and they’ve scored fewer than 22 points in each of those defeats.
