The Hurricanes and Kings square off in Carolina as a battle of two of the league’s top net minders takes centre stage.
The Kings head into Carolina having just two victories in their first four contests but have looked quite sloppy altogether and could very well be in a tougher place than they are if not for a couple of fortuitous bounces that went their way. The Kings are without a doubt one of the best teams in the league and will certainly right the ship but things do take time and while it is very early in the season LA knows they need to do more if they want to reach they level they think they can get to this season. The Kings have a very solid defensive core and a well balanced attack but the Hurricanes are very similar and are playing at home in this one with Cam Ward going between the pipes.

Carolina is a team that will fly under the radar this season which is perfectly fine for them and for us as we will be able to cash in a bunch with the Canes this season. Carolina has some issues on the blue line but have a solid goaltender in Cam Ward and are deep up front led by the Staal brothers, Alex Semin, and Jeff Skinner. However, I think this is a tough spot for the Canes as they’re heading home after a nice win over the Capitals and will come out with confidence but the Kings know they have to be sharper and get back to their winning ways especially on the road in winnable games. While the value is nice with the Canes at home I think the smarter pick here is on the Kings.
