After recording their first win of the season on Saturday night against the rival New York Rangers the New Jersey Devils were back to their losing ways on Tuesday night. It was another listless effort for a club that has been full of them this season. This club just hasn't shown a whole lot of effort and they haven't been able to put together a 60 minute effort once this season. Martin Brodeur has been terrible and that's partially why Cory Schneider has gotten the last two starts in goal. Still, neither of these netminders is going to win games if the offense doesn't get it going. Travis Zajac looks lost out there and with the contract he's signed to he needs to start producing. Adam Henrique hasn't progressed as expected either. Now they've got a high scoring Vancouver Canucks club coming to town off of a 5-4 win over the New York Islander the other night. The Sedin brothers, Ryan Kesler, and Robero Luongo look like they're picking things up well under new head coach John Tortorella. It's a long road trip for them but this is another game against another club that if they come out hard they should find a way to beat.
