The slumping Devils take to the road to face the high flying Bruins who dealt the Sharks their first loss of the season on Thursday night.
The Devils have had a tough start to the season and with the roster they have at the moment there is no sign that things will turn around anytime soon as it is clear this is a rebuilding year for the Devils and a huge part of that is focused around the fade out of future Hall of Famer Martin Brodeur. New Jersey acquired Corey Schneider from the Vancouver Canucks in last April’s draft and while it is clear that he is the goaltender of the future, he has gotten a lot more action that some people anticipated and has left Broduer with a sour taste in his mouth. Brodeur does get the start here for the Devils and you can expect the boys in front of him will be playing with a chip on their shoulder but they’re matched up against a Bruins team that is very tough to beat, especially at home.

The Bruins scored in the dying seconds to hand the Sharks their first loss of the year on Thursday night and can now extend their winning streak to five games on Saturday night. The B’s are without question a very talented team and can change their style of play to cater to their opponents giving them an advantage against almost any team in the NHL including the Devils. Boston is loaded with talent at both ends of the rink and while they’re playing against one of the greatest goaltenders of all time I don’t see anything changing from the Bruins here. They completely outmatch the Devils and I can see this game being over before the end of the first period.
