It was a huge win for the Islanders on Friday night against an Ottawa Senators team that had them on the ropes. One thing that can be said for this Islanders club is that they never quit and their resilency paid off in this one. Trailing 2-0 they rallied to tie the game before falling behind twice more and evening the game up at 4-4. Frans Nielsen continues his stellar play this year as he added another goal and if the Islanders could ever get some consistent defensive play and goaltending they might really be solid hockey club. Now they've got a big test with a back-to-back against a Bruins squad that loves to take advantage of teams in these situations. Boston still hasn't gotten rolling yet this year but everyone knows their pedigree and when you run out guys like Jarome Iginla, David Krejci, Patrice Bergeron, Milan Lucic, and Zdeno Chara you're always going to have a leg up. The Islanders should be ready to go for this one feeling confident after Friday night's win but this has all the makings of a close hockey game and in the third period they just might not have the legs. We're getting the better hockey club in this one at a nice line and that's always a good thing.
