These last two games have been the best games of the season for the New York Rangers. They've found some consistency in their play, some stable lines, and some good goaltending. Their power play is performing better than at any point last season and they seem to be playing with a confidence that has eluded them at times this year. Ever since Chris Kreider has been recalled he has been dominant and he scored again in Thursday night's 2-0 win over the Buffalo Sabres. Kreider's line with Derek Stepan and Mats Zuccarello has been all over the ice and creating chances shift after shift for this club. Henrik Lundqvist returned to form with a shutout against Buffalo and he should have a chance to rack up another win against a Hurricanes club that doesn't quite have his equal in goal. Carolina comes into this one having been shut out on home ice 3-0 by the Tampa Bay Lightning on Friday night. It won't get any easier for them in this one and if they don't get off to a good start and get an early goal the Rangers might run away with this one.
