The Anaheim Ducks trailed the Phoenix Coyotes by a goal late in the second period on Wednesday night before they absolutely took over. That's nothing new for this club that's 13-3-1 on the season and one of the strongest teams you'll find in the NHL right now. Ryan Getzlaf tied the game on the power play and Corey Perry gave the Ducks the lead with just two seconds remaining in the second period with his 10th goal of the year. Cam Fowler and Andrew Cogliano scored in the third period to give Anaheim the 5-2 win. This team has everything you need to be a serious contender come April. They're built for the playoffs and last season's defeat at the hands of the Red Wings should serve as motivation for a club like Anaheim that really was the better team but for some reason couldn't put it together in that series. They'll be hosting the Buffalo Sabres on Friday night a night after the Sabres play the Los Angeles Kings. Buffalo is riding high after a huge overtime win against the San Jose Sharks but wins are still going to be very hard to come by for this group. They don't have much offense at all and their defense is completely incompetent. That's not a good recipe when you're playing the Ducks.
