The Toronto Maple Leafs still haven't found a No. 1 goaltender this season but that might actually be working out in their favor. Toronto has gotten strong play from both Jonathan Bernier and James Reimer this season and on Friday night it was Bernier's turn between the pipes. The Leafs hosted the New Jersey Devils and had problems solving Corey Schneider all night long but Bernier went toe-to-toe with him in this one. Phil Kessel broke a scoreless tie in the third period but Toronto was unable to hold the lead so the teams went to a shootout tied at 1-1. James van Riemsdyk scored the only goal of that competition to lift Toronto to a 2-1 win. Now they face a stiff back-to-back against their rivals the Boston Bruins on Saturday night. Boston bounced back as you would expect on Thursday night after a couple of losses when they hosted the pathetic Florida Panthers. David Krejci, Brad Marchand, Torey Krug, and Reilly Smith all scored for the B's in the 4-1 win. Now they've got to prove they can beat one of the better teams in hockey so far this season. Boston hasn't played up to their potential at times this season and this is a good time for them to really get going again.
