Jaromir Jagr appears to have found the fountain of youth for the New Jersey Devils but there's no telling if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Jagr has been one of, if not the best forward on the Devils' roster this season. While the Devils have to be thankful that Jagr and his play has helped get them out of an early season rut there has to be concern looking forward because at his age it's hard to imagine Jagr not wearing down. Jagr came through for the second game in a row on Thursday night as the Devils picked up their second win on the West Coast with a 2-1 victory over the Los Angeles Kings in overtime. The Devils were outshot 35-15 in the hockey game but Cory Schneider kept them in it all game long until Jagr won it half way through the overtime. Ryan Carter also scored his third goal of the season in the second period that gave the Devils a 1-0 lead before the Kings tied it. After wins over the Kings and Ducks it has already been a successful trip for New Jersey. Now the Devils have to travel to San Jose to take on a Sharks that has won four of their last five games. After a red hot start to the year the Sharks hit a rut there for a little bit but have since turned it back around. San Jose got two goals from Tommy Wingels, Patrick Marleau added his 11th goal of the year, and Antti Niemi made 35 saves as the Sharks defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning 5-1. New Jersey has done a great job of finding a way to win recently but their play still is leaving a lot to be desired. If the Devils play the kind of game they did on Thursday against the Sharks on Saturday the odds of it resulting in a win are going to be extremely slim.
