NHL News: Player News and Updates for 12/25/13
NHL Daily Updates: Checking in on the current NHL leaders, Friday's TV schedule and more
December 25, 2013
The NHL is shut down until Friday, so hockey fans will have to wait a while before getting their fixes once again. That said, the downtime provides a good opportunity to take stock of the season so far, and a chance to try and determine where we’re headed. With that in mind, let’s take a closer look at some of the notable players and storylines out there.
Jonathan Ericsson, D, Detroit Red Wings: Bad news for Ericsson this morning. After coming out of Monday’s game against the Islanders due to an upper-body injury, he’s been diagnosed with two fractured ribs. His recovery window will be around 3-5 weeks.
In 29 games so far this year, Ericsson has one goal and seven assists.
