The Tampa Bay Lightning look to get a road win when they visit the Carolina Panthers.
Tampa Bay comes in off a game filled with mistakes and sloppy play in which they were outgunned 5-4 by visiting San Jose on Saturday. The Sharks used a three goal second period to take a 5-4 lead and surprisingly neither team was able to find the back of the net over the final 20 minutes. Offensively this was the Martin St. Louis show as he scored all four goals to tie the team record and set a career high. Ben Bishop was handed a 4-2 lead but couldn't hold off the Sharks as he finished with 27 stops. The good news was the Lightning power play scored for the fourth straight contest.

Carolina edged visiting Florida 3-2 to get back on the winning track after suffering consecutive defeats. The Panthers rode a two goal third period to take a 3-1 lead and held on behind a brilliant 37 save performance from Anton Khudobin. The struggling offense needed a strong effort between the pipes after being shutout in their previous two contests. Alexander Semin was the offensive star with both third period tallies including a shorthanded goal with Riley Nash lighting the lamp on the other that gave the home team a brief 1-0 lead for their first goal in two games. Carolina owns nine shorthanded goals which is tops in the league and Semin's proved to be the eventual game winner.
Tampa Bay has enjoyed great success in this matchup going 5-0 in the past five in Carolina and 6-1 overall the last seven. Nothing lasts forever but the Lightning at plus money doesn't look bad but I need to see the goalies so for now....
