The Winnipeg Jets visit the United Center to face the Chicago Blackhawks Sunday afternoon.
After watching their four game winning streak come to an end versus San Jose, the Jets are now trying to start another hot streak after a 5-4 overtime decision against Toronto on Saturday. The night started off well enough with Winnipeg taking a 2-0 lead in to the second before two more goals gave the home team a 4-1 advantage with the Leafs scoring twice more in the second and once in the third to force the extra session where Dustin Byfuglien won it for the Jets. Four others scored for Winnipeg with Bryan Little, Blake Wheeler, Zach Bogosian and Mark Scheifele all lighting the lamp with Ondrej Pavelec making 24 stops.

The Blackhawks look to bounce back from a 2-1 loss at Minnesota on Thursday as they return home to battle a still hot Winnipeg squad. Chicago fell behind 2-0 in the opening frame with the Wild getting goals from Jason Pominville and Matt Cooke. Darcy Kuemper didn't need anything more with a 33 save performance to pick up a hard earned win. The visitng Hawks avoided the shutout when Patrick Kane found the back of the net with less then 30 seconds left for his 24th of the season but Minnesota killed off the final seconds. The Blackhawks are in the midst of a funk with losses in six of nine as Antti Raanta made 19 stops.
Winnipeg is easily the hotter of the two teams but Chicago is at home and obviously is one of the game's ellite squads. Is that enough to pay the price to see them win Sunday? Not for me but I'm backing them and watching them...
